Today we are airing a conversation with Carlos Jose Rodriguez Santiago, an Engineer at Stanford Healthcare Innovation Laboratories. Rodriguez was born in Puerto Rico but grew up in California. His parents were also working in biotechnology. Today he is a chemical engineer and works developing proteins for research on cures for various diseases.
The healthcare innovation lab works to accelerate precision health technology research and development as well as clinical adoption. During our show, we talked about different research Rodrigues had been involved with, the current state of healthcare research, and some news on new development for various diseases and conditions. We also chatted about his path to becoming involved with healthcare research and his own experiences in life and plans for the future.
